Wash CampaignVolunteer in/with a dedicated work groups to learn the basic functioning of non-profit; help us with our office work, volunteer in conducting various awareness programs and fundraisers. Speak out for us to help us garner support for our cause. Our city offices are in Kathmandu. You can help us with various events, campaigns and office administrative and so on. It is an invaluable opportunity to work with our experienced board and co-founders and also chance to build a good network of people. For those who want to make one meaningful difference, please join us and volunteer with us in our projects. We are looking for volunteer teachers to spend a few weeks with the children at school, teaching them English, computer skills, general knowledge, science and whatever it is they know.

Give the forgotten community a helping hand
give the forgotten community a helping hand. Live the Majhi life for few days, learn their rich culture and let’s help the underprivileged community to prosperity. You can add a brick to our efforts by sharing your knowledge, expertise or anything that can help uplift a community. Moreover, the project village of ours have been completely devastated by the April 25 earthquake in Nepal. We need a substantial support to rehabilitate, reconstruct and restore independence of this community which shall have a spiral to similarly devastated communities. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of your arm. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

Academic Intern for Non Nepali

A comprehensive program designed especially for students of foreign Universities to come to Nepal and fulfill their academic compliances.
Government of Nepal has invested a huge amount of human power and resources to educate its people, however, there are barely any schools in remote areas of the country, and those that are located off these areas are neither easily accessible nor affordable due to harsh geographical terrains and socio-economic barriers. Yet, in other places where there are an adequate number of schools, there are not enough teachers to teach, big classrooms for children to fit in and ample resources to learn from. These children may have elementary literacy, but they surely do not have the required academic resources to gain wisdom through. This is where change is required.
We aim for volunteering work to be free, however, the organization is operated through donations and hence it is mandatory that a volunteer need to cover his logistic by himself. Educating Nepal will make all the necessary arrangement for the placement.
We at Educating Nepal will solely take all the logistic and travel arrangements of the intern where we have agreed on other terms and conditions as per our organization rules.
The logistic arrangement fee while volunteering with us is as follows:
1. A volunteer need to pay USD 1000 ( US dollar One thousand) for a duration of 1 month logistic arrangement
2. The logistic arrangement for added 1 (one) week is USD 200 (US dollar Two hundred)
3. The logistic arrangement for the rest of the added time is accordingly charged as per week rate as mentioned in point no. 2.
The logistic arrangement covers:
a. Airport pick up from Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) at Kathmandu.
b. A night stays at Hotel at Kathmandu before departure to the placement.
c. Transportation to placement.
d. Food and accommodation (typical nepali food) at placement.
e. The accommodation will be basic (without attach bathroom) and food will be 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and 5 cups of tea/coffee per day.
f. Transportation back to Kathmandu after placement and a day hotel food and accommodation in a hotel at Kathmandu.
g. Airport drop during departure flights.
h. A cell phone with Nepali Sim Card and a credit of NPR 500 per month.
i. Ncell USB dongle with 1000mb data per month for using internet (volunteer need to use their own laptop).
j. The other cost incurred not included in the above points will have to be bear by the concerned.
k. A staff member from Educating Nepal will always be with you to assist at any time.

A first hand experience with our kids

In June 2014, our Enlightener from UK Ashtha Paudel along with her team conducted an interactive workshop in our school.
