Educating Nepal celebrated its first annual day as a registered unit on 21st December, 2013 and the event was a great success. The highlights of the event were the dazzling performances by the children of Majhigaun, insightful speech on practical philanthropy by Mr Rabindra Mishra and an inspiring experience sharing by Mr. Hari Krishna Bhattarai on the initiation of the idea behind Educating Nepal. The other attractions of the event were introduction to Educating Nepal and the work it has been doing by EN President Mr. Binod Basnet, detailed overview of the EN Projects by Executive Director, Mr. Ashirwad Tripathy, words of appreciation towards the work of EN by Professor Hirendra Man Pradhan, stirring expression of gratitude by Mr. Bal Bahadur Majhi and last but not the least words of admiration by the Chief guest Dr. Lava Deo Awasthi.
After the event our kids from Majhi Gaun had loads of fun visiting around different places in Kathmandu. We had transportation provided by Little Angels’ School so going around places was convenient and fun.
