Only seven out of ten children enrolled in grade 1 in the schools of Nepal reach grade 5 and more than half of them quit school before reaching the lower secondary level (UNESCO Report 2011-12). This may be much obvious in a nation with over 25% of total population living below poverty line but need not mean that these stats should remain the same. The ultimate reason for no access to education and high dropout rate is poverty; thus begins a story of despair and misery for the rest of their lives. With someone to pat their backs and believe in their dreams, we can turn things around.
